Question by Original Rabbit : Is it too out of shape to be a fitness consultant? Is it a bad example? ?
I am a fitness consultant, so I feel I need to be in exceptional form to show the way for my clients. I am a size 4, I can lift 100 pounds with my arms and legs with my 200. I can easily run 5 miles, and I usually burn about 600 calories in my cardio workouts, which I do five times a week. Now I have to choose a woman to be a student assistant for the work I do. She is tall, and sweet. She knows a lot about health and nutrition, and I think she would do a good job but it is not surprising form. Is it just me, or is it reasonable to fitness trainers to be extraordinary form? These are his statistics: Height: 5′6Poids: £ 150Pantalon size: 7Statistiques Fitness: It can easily run a mileElle can raised from 40 to 50 pounds with armesElle can lift 70 to 125 pounds with jambesElle can do 30 minutes on StairmasterElle can do 90 minutes on the bike elliptiqueElle is not fat at all, but it certainly did not pack six. Am I too harsh? What do you think? Im not shallow, that’s why I ask. You do not need to be rude. I doubt my opinion, so I ask other people’s thoughts. There is nothing wrong with demander.Meilleure response:

I am a Personal Trainer and yes u are being very harsh. Every body is different and u should know this. Some can exercise their hearts off and still not look all that. It’s just the way it is. Knowledge is what’s important and she obviously has it so give her the job.
I think you are being harsh and it sounds like she would be someone people may relate to better so she could be a great replacement for you.
You should hire someone back on how good of shape they are and their appearance. If you don’t feel that she has a body that looks healthy then hire someone who is better qualified. For me If I were to hire a personal trainer I wouldn’t hire someone who looks out of shape.
But based on the fitness stats you listed she looks like she’s in good shape.
You are being completely unreasonable. If she can do the job, it shouldn’t matter what size she is. Gyms aren’t supposed to be like an episode of WORK OUT on Bravo. Normal people go to gyms too.
She is probably more relateable than you may be to most. Personally, I am in between you guys but I would not be put off by her. I think that if she was out of shape, then yes. however, if she is fit and doesn’t look fat than you are fine.
However, I do agree with you, if someone that is not fit — it is hard to justify trying to get fit from someone who looks worse than you. Trust me I loved working out and taking classes from the people that were the most fit because I thought… these are the people I want to be like.
I’m envious if she is 5′6 and a size 7.
I would say you are being harsh. And it is good you are going in for a second opinion. Besides she is probably in better shape than the people who need counseling.
Heck, I know that if I came in and saw the two of you I wouldn’t think “Oh well that trainee isn’t washboard abs, so I think I will take my business elsewhere”
