There is no right answer for survival that we are all different. What is the speed of our cancer develops, how it spreads easily, how aggressive it is processed, which are the means used to treat, especially the belief of overall health, strength, of the patient. If it is isolated in an area of the spine, it can be treated with chemotherapy or radiotherapy. I lost my mother to breast cancer several years ago. She was a fighter strong and lasted a year she went through five operations, because it spread to several times in different parts of his body. So there is no single answer to this dreaded disease when he attacked the body other than to do his best with what we know. I wish your friend all the best and keep it in my prayers with others. I hope this helps. Good luck

Why breast cancer is more important than other cancers?

Question asked by Gabry Hyrule : Why breast cancer is more important than other cancers
There are a lot of media coverage of breast cancer than others. Many more organizations raise money for this cause than any other type of cancer. Why? Why do people divide their research and independently for cures against this specific type of cancer? Would not it more effective to have one (or international) organization to raise funds to develop a cure against cancer, since it is exactly the same disease in the breast in the intestines and elsewhere? I know that cancer is a generic term, but in molecular terms, the same imbalances and genetic defects give rise to all types of cancer. While many environmental factors give rise to different types of cancer: Skin cancer is mainly caused by UV radiation to DNA; Evidences point to the bacterium Helicobacter pylori as a cause of stomach cancer, Cancer lung, are mainly caused by carcinogens in cigarettes and asbestos, but breast cancer is on par with all other types of cancer in terms of ultimate cause: a genetic defect. The cells do not get lost, they just run the genetic information they have, and if some of this information is missing or abnormal, or the cell dies (apoptosis) and cancer of formesJe am not discriminate against women or something like that ridiculous! This person “…” clearly a biased opinion of autres.Mon point is, why not put more emphasis on “fight against cancer” than to fight “breast cancer” if the solutions to the breast are the same as for any autreMeilleure response:

Two reasons: 1) cancer that affect different body parts are not the same. Each tissue that develops into cancer has its unique properties such as metastasis, metastatic (spreading) of grounds, the susceptibility to radiation and chemotherapy, the speed of propagation. For example, there are two common forms of skin cancer: melanoma and basal cell carcinoma (BCC). Melanoma spreads rapidly and if left too long, has a high mortality rate. BCC invades surrounding tissues, but does not spread to other tissues such as melanoma. Each requires it’s own cancer team recherche.2) In addition, a large organization will eventually have higher overall costs, because it deals with the paper work to try to coordinate research so much. This will mean funds will be used for paper work and not recherche.Le breast cancer has a lot of media coverage, because it can affect young women and has a higher weight than the disease of cancer of the prostate say affects older men (usually). Also, surgery (if any) for breast cancer has many side effects, including scarring. Older people still images of radical mastectomies in their head (I’ll let you do a Google search Image). I hope it helped.

What is it with women mastectomies just because there is a chance of breast cancer?

InvicibleStar Question : What is it with women mastectomies just because there is a chance of breast cancer
Just saw a report on the Today Show about a woman who, based on new methods of genetic testing, 85% chance of contracting breast cancer if she had her breasts removed healthy. Sounds sadomasochistic for me to do something like that when you are just as likely to die in accidents or other diseases and the tests are new so who knows if it would have had the disease. There was a history of breast cancer in her family, but a story does not mean you have it, there is a history of everything in my family, but things I ended up suffering people of else had. Everyone will die anyway why chop your body to try to avoid eneventabtle? These stories make me sick! When I tell these stories make me sick I mean that in the sense that I think they are gross Not that I’m colère.Meilleure response:

Old breast cancers for lumps they would remove the entire breast including the pectoral muscles and every lymph node in the area. These are known as radical massectomies and done much less often today. They were disfiguring, arms would swell from lack of lymph nodes and need to be removed. Today they have many options including drugs that fight breast cancers with specific characteristics. Procedure wise they may remove just a mass or they may do a simple massectomy removing most of the breast only the pectoralis minor and the sentinal lymph node. The old belief was remove the entire breast or both and people would die during the procedure. Today they use Chemo, Radiation, and less invasive surgeries along with better screening protocols.

More than one million cases of breast cancer occur each year, with some 580 000 cases occurring in developed countries (> 300/100 000 inhabitants per year) and the rest in developing countries (usually <1500 / 100 000 population per year), despite their population more and more young âge.En 2000, the latest year for which global data, approximately 400,000 women died of breast cancer, or 1.6 percent of all female deaths. The proportion of deaths due to breast cancer was much higher in rich countries (2 percent of all deaths in women) than in economically disadvantaged regions (0.5per cent). "The good news is that rates of breast cancer mortality started to decline in North America, Western Europe and Australia, mainly due to improvements in early detection and treatment programs such as chemotherapy and tamoxifen, "says Dr. Stewart. "Survival rates at five years are higher than 75 percent in most developed countries." The report indicates that the epidemic of breast cancer in the world has many causal factors, including the history of reproduction, genetics, radiation (especially in times of breast development) and the Western lifestyle with a diet rich in calories, obesity and physical inactivity.

I have never heard of men with this gene. I guess this is possible. The breast cancer can be predicted by the gene or lack of it. This is partly a genetic and partly environmental (diet and other factors). Overweight people are more susceptible to cancer in general and esp. breast cancer because estrogen is stored in adipose tissue and has been there. So overweight people have a slower metabolism in the fight against cancer. Ofter overweight begins at menopause (if not before), because lower homon (estogen and some testosterone) to less than muscle tissue (the decline in testosterone) that helps muscles burn more calories.Le breast cancer also has two determinants (at least). If it develops with more estrogen or more of hesperidin.
